By using ToonLens you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time — it is your responsibility to check back periodically. Continued use of ToonLens after any changes means you accept the updated Terms.
ToonLens is a Chrome extension that translates Korean manhwa into English using AI-powered OCR, inpainting, and translation technology. It operates as a browser-based reading tool that processes webtoon content displayed in your browser. ToonLens does not host, distribute, or reproduce manhwa content — all original content is served directly from the respective webtoon platform's servers.
You agree to use ToonLens only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
ToonLens content: The ToonLens software, brand, website, and AI-generated translation outputs are owned by or licensed to ToonLens. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute them without our written permission.
Third-party content: All manhwa content displayed through ToonLens remains the intellectual property of its respective creators and publishers. ToonLens is not affiliated with any webtoon platform or manhwa publisher. Use of ToonLens does not grant you any rights to underlying manhwa content.
Your license: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use ToonLens for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. Translations generated by ToonLens are for your personal, non-commercial reading use only. You may not redistribute, republish, or share translated content with third parties in any form, including on social media, messaging platforms, websites, or aggregator sites.
ToonLens respects the intellectual property rights of content creators and publishers. ToonLens does not store or host any manhwa content — all original content remains on the respective platform's servers. ToonLens is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI translations will be perfectly accurate. Translation quality may vary.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ToonLens shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three (3) months prior to the claim giving rise to liability.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ToonLens and its operators from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms; (b) your violation of any third party's rights, including intellectual property rights; or (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
Your use of ToonLens is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using ToonLens, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with EU law and the laws of the Slovak Republic. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Slovak Republic.
By you: You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@toonlens.com. Upon deletion, any unused subscription access and cached data associated with your account will be removed.
By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in unauthorized use of the Service. Upon termination, any remaining subscription access will be forfeited without refund, except where required by applicable law.
We may assign or transfer these Terms, or any rights or obligations hereunder, without restriction. You may not assign these Terms or your account to any third party.
